Hi! I'm continuing my "Frolicking Jersey Shore" adventures from a few entries ago, so technically, this is "Frolicking Jersey Shore Part 2." It's not literally
THE Jersey Shore though, it's just a few old, historic sites near the north-eastern New Jersey shoreline; therefore, I thought the title "Frolicking Jersey Shore Part 2" would be very unfitting. Anyway, New Jersey is truly a beautiful, beautiful state. Sure, it has extremely bad roads (one of my friends even got a concussion on the school bus because of the bumpy roads,) and it's known for its history of "corrupt" politicians, but whether those politicians are still corrupt or not does not hold them back from keeping the state looking beautiful. New Jersey is known as "The Garden State," and it's not hard to see why. Even some of the historic sites I visited sported gorgeous flora and fauna:

Vintage, vintage and more vintage!!
|
 |
| ^ It's hard to believe that this was once a wealthy farm... |
 |
| ^ This is perhaps the most frightening photo I have ever taken. I don't know how the picture did not turn out to be blurry because my hands were shaking like crazy. I have a deathly fear of these creatures. |
I hope you liked my vintage version of Jersey shore and New Jersey in general! :) It's sad to see what the media has done to our gorgeous Jersey shore...
Oh, how wonderful these pictures were taken. My favorite is the window one. Nah, it’s okay if it’s shaky. It still looks pretty. Thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteI saw your pictures from New York and I am speechless. I mean the place is beautiful and the pictures of the street performer (trumpet man) were impressive! I totally love your photography.
Gorgeous pictures ;D
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are wonderful. I really like the effects you applied to them. Lots of people ruin their pictures with poor choices in filters (see Instagram noobs for example). Love the DOF in the floral pictures!!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are so beautiful! I love how your Jersey photos are very vintage and just show us a side of Jersey that you won’t find by watching shows like The Jersey Shore. I also love the photo effects you’ve put on the photos =3
ReplyDeleteCS6 has more when it comes to the history and undo stuff. As you progress in your design, you can take a snapshot of where you currently are. Let’s say you want to try something risky that involves a lot of layers, you can take a snapshot before you start. When you’re done and you want to go back but can’t because the history thingy only goes up to a certain point, you can just click on the snapshot and you’ll be back where you are. I really love the recovery, when computer batter sucks so when my charger is unplugged for a little while the computer shuts off but lucky photoshop saves everything.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with you remaining years of high school, those annoying days of waking up too early only to be pissed of by your teachers.
Ewww snakes..i don’t know how you even took that picture. I would not go 20 feet near that thing. :/ I really like the 3rd picture, there’s something about it.
What’s the story with that present in front of the Antique shop… and why hasn’t anyone snatched it yet? Haha. Anyway, these photos are lovely as always. I love the flowers. They look like something you’d see when staring through a kaleidoscopic!
ReplyDeleteWow…I must say THANK YOU for letting us see the other side of NJ. Seriously, I’ve never been to NJ and the media makes it sound like a place that I never wanna go to. I love the nature feel of your photos and vintage…antiques are LOVE. lol I enjoy vintage things and strolling around in antique stores. You’re such a great photographer :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I can’t believe you were in front of a snake lol Very brave of you!
I think that Jersey shore has been given a pretty bad rep because of TV show, but I think most people realize it’s not all like that. I think my favorite picture is the one of the white flower. Beautiful! As are the rest of your photos
ReplyDeleteThe historic site of Jersey Shore is really nice and calming by the looks of the pictures :)! I thought California was known as “The Golden State”! XD!
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look amazing! I have never seen those flowers before :O! I would just call New Jersey, “Nature”. For a historically wealthy farm, it is indeed wealthy in grass! :P.
There’s a lot of vintage things on the East Coast! At least there are people today who appreciate these old structures. Remember, if you can’t take pictures perfectly straight, you can fix it on photoshop!
Snakes are scary whether they are venomous or not :(. But I’m glad you love New Jersey
Kristen Stewert didn’t have emotions in Snow White either :/. She doesn’t even smile at the end when she was suppose to! She just… Smirked. Kind of.. Or at least attempted to, so it disappointed me :(. But Oooooh the huntsman, Chris Hemsworth is an A++ ;).
When a hurricane happens, your suvival mode will kick in and you’ll magically know how to swim.
Oh My Word. These photos are.. STUNNING. I’m actually ashamed of mine now :(
ReplyDeleteHaha, politicians is a slang word for corrupt official And wow, you’re friend got a concussion? the roads must be terrible! Hopefully they’ll get that fixed soon.
I’d love it if you could offer advertising The contest style changed a little bit, and I”m teaming up wth two of my friends to offer bigger packages, so ya I’ll keep you informed on when we release it
People keep telling me New Jersey is ghetto. I always figured they were wrong. I have always wanted to go to New Jersey because it seems like a lot of the people there are very nice and live in a comfortable homey sort of place, and I know a lot of musicians from there… seems like my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are lovely. I commend you on the snake one! I would have been shaking too. And it’s pretty hard to take a really straight photo. Here’s a tip—hold your breath while you take it and use one of your hands as a flat surface for the camera. It also helps to tuck your strap under an arm and pull it tight, helps to keep it straight.
The buildings are gorgeous!!
These pictures look gorgeous! I’m a bad photographer because I don’t really know about angles and all, so I envy people who are good photographers. The picture of the snake looks scary, but awesome at the same time! My zodiac sign is the snake, by the way. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the antiques picture. It’s my favorite, and it sort of reminds me of something that would appear in Disneyland. Not because of magic or anything, but because it has this . . . air, I suppose.
I know you have heard this umpteen times but you really take wonderful pictures. I really like the photo of the snake. If I were you, I wouldn’t dare to even look at it.
ReplyDeleteoooh, I actually didn’t know it was the garden state.
ReplyDeleteThose pictures look so great! What camera do you use?
Aaaah thank you :’) How are you doing hon? I love your photography. If you don’t mind, I’d love to display it on my Tumblr!
ReplyDeleteReally awesome photography! I love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHey Sunny! I love your photos. New Jersey looks so pretty! And I am so jealous that you went to New York. :}
ReplyDeleteThese photographs + editing are amazing! Wow. You have some serious talent.
ReplyDeleteCould you put up a warning sign next time u post a photo of of of… a snake? o.o I was scared to death! o-o jk, but I’m really really scared of snakes how did you get to take a photo of it? O_O
ReplyDeleteI don’t know much about New Jersey (nothing tbh). Your photos make me think it’s a really beautiful place. I’d like to visit it now. =)
I’ve moved. Again. This is permanent! I’m just having a website for the writing now!
