Long time no talk! How is everyone? Sorry I haven't blogged in so long; I had finals to pass, graduations to attend, and all that good end-of-the-school-year stuff to take care of :) I'm finally done with final exams, though! (YAY) and today is my first day of summer vacation. I am beyond happy to finally leave freshman year of high school behind me! Anyways, I'm here to share more photos from my (sort of) recent trip to New York:
^ I am still quite perplexed by how they can squeeze SO MANY apartments into that one building... :?
^ One of my favorite shots, with 100% NO EDIT! :D
Hope you enjoyed my pics!
Just a heads up- I will be at Harvard University for debate for all of July, so I will not be able to blog much. Would you prefer to read guest blog posts, or would you rather have pre-written entries by me? Thoughts, suggestions?
Hope y'all are having a magical summer!
This is home for me. You’d be surprised how many apartments can be squeezed into one building … in Hong Kong or Beijing. New York is NOTHING, AHA.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so lovely. I have been wanting to restart a photo blog lately but not just post my breakfast or work desk or something. Your blog is so inspirational! (Yes, I browsed back.)
My favorite photo is the 6th one. What building is that?
I know, I’ve always wondered how people made apartments ‘fit’ into the building if that makes any sense. Wow, a debate at Harvard? Sounds intense, good luck!! :)
ReplyDeleteMore amazing photos from you!
ReplyDeleteNew York is magical, I wish I could go back! But looking through your photos is enough for now. The architecture is amazing :3
Both pre-written and guest blog posts, please!
Here, it isn’t buildings gathering apartments, it’s a house. And it’s surprising how small the apartments are: small as a normal kitchen. Especially the dorms. You’ll never imagine how people survive in those rooms. New York is still lucky.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, New York seems like a nice place to travel to. Yes, I know, it’s a beautiful place. But I prefer a peaceful place unlike New York where nothing is quiet and somehow peaceful.
Anyway, I love the 3rd, 4th, and 8th photo.
Yeah girl! Harvard! It sounds intense but exciting. Especially that your purpose is about debating. Dude, that’s Einstein’s extra specialty.
While you ended your freshman year, I started my Sophomore year. I’m beyond sad. :(
Well, as far as I can see your partial picture in the sidebar, you’re not that fat. Just try growing taller a bit. As your bones extend, your fats form into an appropriate shape for your height. But, refrain from eating big meals. You’ll become bigger.
Happy Birthday…belated! :)
wow, you were in school for a while. gotta love the end of the year though, with all of the graduations and everything.
ReplyDeletehope you enjoyed your trip to new york. i wish i got to go more often than the one time i've been. certainly wouldn't want to live there, but it's cool to walk around and see the different places. obviously, you can tell by the awesome pictures you took.
i like the edit you did on the one of the people walking down the street. i also like the mailboxes, they look cool and vintage like you said.
hope you have a good time at the debating thing next month, and that you do well.(:
Oh, wow! I honestly would never have guessed those were pictures of NY. I dunno, it’s just not the classic “NY” shots—which is why I appreciated them! Great photos. I especially love the one building standing alone—the architecture is nuts!
ReplyDeleteHi! This is my first time visiting here, kind of blog-hopping for the night (where I am). These are some really great photos. I haven’t been to NY in a long time. I used to spend a great deal up in Boston myself when I went to school up in RI.
ReplyDeleteOh, New York, how I miss thee.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are interesting and they definitely want to make me go and visit there again and oogle over some of their awesome architecture. :)
It must be nice to be on summer vacation! And congrats on completing freshman year of high school! :D
I’ve never been to any part of America before (or really, any other continent except Asia) so I think you’re lucky! New York seems great. We have apartments in Singapore, too. High-rise buildings.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos. The construction work behind the mail box… whew! :/
Your favorite photo is also my favorite! WHOA..that is beautiful O_O and so are the rest of your pictures. You really take amazing photos haha vintage mailboxes! Good luck on the debate!
ReplyDeleteNew York’s so amazing, isn’t it?! I’ve been there twice in my life so far, which is two more times than I ever thought I’d manage. o_o;
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so beautiful! They have such an old timey feel, and they’re very soothing to look at somehow. If I were to take a bunch of artistic shots of New York, they’d be bright and loud and flashy, which is kind of like my personality … Are you a cool and calm and collected sort of person? That’s the vibe I’m getting from your shots, anyway! ^^;
Ahh, your site is pretty. ♥
Beautiful photos and it’s okay. We all get busy from time to time. I’ve never really visited NY but I think I will have to. It’s beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a busy couple of weeks with all of these things to do! Hope you did well in the finals :)! I’m sure all of us are overwhelmed by the things we have to do in the end of the school year. Don’t worry about it, I was stuck in the same situation last month!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures of New York looks like Downtown LA! On the 4th picture with the Broadway street sign, it looks similar to the Broadway we have here! I did a quick screenshot of our version of Broadway on Google Maps (Because I’m lame like that XD)

I hope you’ll have fun at Harvard University next month! Eeep! I prefer to read pre-written entries by you. I don’t like the idea of guest blogging because they can write whatever they want in their own blog. This is your blog, keep it yours :).
I guess I’m excited to be an adult because I don’t need to lie to others when they ask if I’m 18 (like the time at Vegas).
Take care (:!
I’ve never been to New York City, but judging by your photos it looks like an amazing place. It’s definitely on my list of places I want to visit.
ReplyDeleteFor July, I think a mix of guest posts and scheduled posts you wrote would be nice. I really like the concept of guest posts, for some reason, but I would still like to see things from you as well.
You know, I wouldn’t have guessed you were only a freshman in high school.
Those photos are so pretty! I really want to go to New York City and your pictures are definitely not helping :} Broadway also looks a lot like LA’s Broadway!
ReplyDeleteWow these are amazing….I really love the lighting in them and how you captured New York so beautifully =) I feel like these pictures give it history that you don’t get to see unless you live around there.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo (your favorite one)… is that building right next to central park? It looks so familiar!
ReplyDeleteAnd what is that really tall building (6th photo)? I don’t recognize it… I went to New York a few years ago! LOVED IT.
Anyway, stunning photos as always! My favorite is the one with the benches. It really captures the atmosphere of New York.
